What is a Same-Day Restoration?
Typically, placing a dental crown, veneers, inlay, or onlay requires at least two visits to the dentist. However, using CEREC technology, our dentists can complete the entire procedure in just one appointment. CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) transforms dental care by simplifying the creation of dental restorations.
Using CAD/CAM technology, CEREC enables dentists to digitally scan the tooth, design a customized restoration, and mill it right in the office – all within a single visit. This removes the need for messy impressions and repeated visits, offering patients convenient, efficient, and accurate dental care in significantly less time.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are porcelain caps placed on prepared teeth to restore their function and appearance, such as preventing a cracked tooth from worsening. They also help to restore a discoloured or stained tooth to its natural look. Additionally, crowns can be attached to dental implants to help fill the gap left by missing teeth.
Veneers
Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped material that are custom-made and bonded to the front of your natural teeth to alter the symmetry, shape or colour of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are custom tooth-colored restorations designed to repair cavities that are too extensive for standard fillings. They are commonly used for molars.
